Kal Beach is one of the busiest public beaches on Kalamalka Lake, and the streets around it are the most walkable Kal waterfront you'll find. Homes here range from original beach cottages to modern rebuilds, plus lakeshore townhome stratas such as Summertree on the Lake on Kidston Road.

What to check
- Summer traffic and parking. Kal Beach is busy on hot days.
- Speed zone and swim areas. Boats are limited to 8 km/h within 75 m of shore along part of this shoreline, and Kal Beach's swim area is closed to boats.
- Coldstream rules. No short-term rentals (except zoned B&Bs), one dock per fee-simple lot, and a development permit for fill, retaining walls or shoreline changes near the lake. See the shoreline rules guide.
- Strata rules at townhome complexes. For example, Summertree does not allow rentals.
- Where the Okanagan Rail Trail runs relative to the lot.
