Oyama is part of the District of Lake Country, in the Central Okanagan, but many Vernon buyers look here because it's only about 20 minutes to downtown Vernon via Highway 97. It's orchard and vineyard country, with lakeshore homes on both Kalamalka and Wood lakes. Wood Lake is warmer and shallower than Kal.
